We work collaboratively with interior designers, architects, landscape designers and private clients, advising on schemes where a European design sensibility is desired.

Every project begins with a complimentary initial conversation to understand the space, aesthetic direction, practical requirements, timeframe and budget. Initial conversations are complimentary within Auckland and by virtual consultation throughout New Zealand. In-person consultations outside the Auckland region are quoted individually.

From there, we can develop an initial mood board and concept direction, bringing together suggested furniture, lighting, decorative objects, architectural elements, garden pieces and planting references as relevant to the project.

The fee for this first design stage is redeemable against full-priced Founders of Rome products purchased for the project, allowing the consultation process to become part of the overall investment in the scheme.

Depending on the scope, we may work with pieces already held in the Founders of Rome collection, source specifically through our European network, or combine the two.

Our involvement can range from advice on a single room, entrance, terrace or garden through to a broader residential, hospitality, landscape or public-space scheme.

We are equally comfortable working directly with a private client or alongside an existing professional team, helping to refine the decorative direction, identify the right pieces and source items that bring depth, individuality and European character to the finished space.
