Trains, planes, boats, gondolas, buses... you name it, we take it if it gets us to our next incredible find.

As beautiful as each item is, the journey they have taken, and the journey we take to discover them and bring them home to New Zealand, enrich the antiques story even more.

Our 'down time' in a chosen village changes in location as we like to experience new villages, the people, the cuisine, and of course the antique hunting opportunities... but we never sacrifice on charm, comfort, design and absolute joy of staying in a quintessential Tuscan Villa when we are here.

We love France for antiques, and nothing starts a trip like a week in Paris to soak up the energy, fashion, 'attitude' and the design across architecture, interiors and fashion in those moments we are not at an antique dealers or at the beloved Saint Ouen market. We don't normally get around in berets but when in Paris...

Our 2024 mid-year stay was in the lovely Eastern Tuscan village of Sansepolcro, placing us in perfect driving distance to some special places. Arezzo wowed with its Antiques and architecture of 11th century status. Cortona had our heart with cuisine, charm and a couple of favourite boutiques we can never get enough of. Road tripping always provides a new stop to explore.

We have forged relationships that get us behind the scenes to explore and take home exceptional pieces. We love to hit the big markets but there is something very special in getting into the estates, warehouses and homes. It is an absolute breathtaking privilege.
