Our tours are small, fun, experiential and full of opportunity to purchase antiques, homeswares, fashion and art alongside the experience of culture, uniques to every country, village, town or city we visit.

Who we are

Anne and Tamara - we are a mother and daughter duo are experienced in boutique tourism and interior design and a many decades in design across retail, wholesale and the import of beautiful European furniture and decor. our combined passion antiques, travel and sharing these experiences has led to what we offer today.

Since 2017, we have been importing antiques from France and Italy, forging networks and refining destinations.

What is an 'Antique Tour' all about?

Founders of Rome has evolved to a unique concept business; bringing antiques to New Zealand, and taking New Zealanders to the antiques!

When you tour with us, upon arrival to your destination, we take the reigns! From your accommodation, food, wine and activities, this is a premium all inclusive tour... with a twist!

As antique dealers ourselves, we have the best sourcing spots, be it an antique fair, a dealer or estate to purchase pieces for your own home, business or build/renovation project. We help you negotiate the price and take over from there, managing the logistics to ship goods home to you... anywhere in the world, to your door.

We have been asked over the years to take clients with us, and now we welcome you with open arms into our captivating world!

From boutique and authentic accomodation, artisan experiences, luxury transport, culinary delights (from the finer experiences to a rustic sunset table), we make it our mission to give you an unforgettable journey. 

What does it cost?

NZD $TBC per person

Single Occupancy

NZD $TBC per person

A deposit of 30% to secure your sport on the tour

The 70% balance is due 4 weeks before the tour commences.

Cancellations on this tour within 3 weeks will forfeit 30% of their deposit.

If you should cancel within 3 weeks no depost willvbe refunded. Again it is highly advised to take out your own comprehensive travel insurance. will be required to secure your place.

Final payment dates, booking terms and cancellation conditions will be provided at the time of booking.

Who is this suitable for?

We have designed beautiful experiences that will appeal to all ages and stages, from solo to groups, whether sourcing a full house lot of unique pieces to just enjoying the 'browse' and culture along the way.

Our clients range from couples renovating, to single home owners building the dream European style home to business owners looking for inventory, architects and interior designers sourcing decor, furniture and architectural elements for projects.

We do have a minimum age of 21 unless you are on a private group tour with us POA.

We do require you to have a resonable amount of fitness and stamina as the cobblestone and stairs of our destinations can by tricky!

How many people are on a tour?

Keeping the groups small mean we are agile, follow the fun and get into places that are hard to with a larger group. Our groups range from 4 to 8 guests.

Can I organise flights and other travel through you?

We work with preferred travel agents who we can coordinate your flights and other travel plans with. Before and after your tour you may want to travel to other areas, see the big sights or stay on for more of the city we finish in... we can work with the agent or your own preferred agent to design the perfect itinerary for you. Your flights and insurance will be paid directly to those providers by you. We love to help you!
