The glaze runs in vertical bands — green through ochre into rich brown — with significant surface wear revealing the terracotta beneath. This has developed naturally over time and hasn’t been interfered with.

Originally used for preserving or storing food in rural French kitchens, and still suits similar functional or decorative settings today.
