Italian Walnut Comodini with Inlay & Ormolu

A beautiful pair of Italian comodini — petite bedside tables with all the elegance and detail we look for in European furniture.

Crafted in warm walnut, each table features intricate inlay across the top and drawer fronts, three useful drawers and the softly curved silhouette characteristic of Italian furniture. Slender cabriole-style legs give them a lightness despite the richness of the timber.

Decorative ormolu mounts and handles provide just enough contrast against the walnut, with their naturally aged finish sitting beautifully alongside the patina of the timber.

As a pair they are particularly lovely beside a bed, but their petite proportions also make them useful as lamp tables or small occasional tables where space is limited.

We especially love that they have not been over-restored. The walnut, inlay and metalwork retain the signs of age that give antique furniture its individuality.

Condition
Antique condition with wear, marks and variations consistent with age and use. Restoration could be undertaken should a more refined finish be preferred; however, we consider them beautiful, functional and full of character exactly as they are.
