A remarkable 19th-century Italian Braciere, combining a beautifully patinated copper basin with an exceptional hand-forged wrought iron stand of outstanding decorative quality.
Originally designed as a charcoal brazier for warming grand Italian interiors, today this striking piece serves as a sculptural statement object, equally suited to an entrance hall, conservatory, loggia, covered terrace or thoughtfully layered interior.
The substantial copper basin is richly decorated with embossed classical motifs and retains its original lion mask ring handles. Decades of age have created a beautiful surface patina, with tones of warm copper, deep bronze and soft verdigris contributing to its character and authenticity.
Particularly impressive is the elaborate wrought iron stand, featuring intricate scrollwork, decorative floral embellishments and superb craftsmanship throughout. Recently restored, the ironwork presents beautifully while preserving the charm and artistry of the original design.
A rare and highly decorative example of Italian metalwork, offering both historical significance and exceptional decorative appeal.
Whether styled with a clipped olive tree, a generous floral arrangement, or displayed as a sculptural object in its own right, this is a piece that commands attention from every angle.
