French 19th Century Empire Chandeliers

Found with much excitement in France, these 19th century French Empire Brass and Crystal Chandeliers epitomise the opulent historical craftsmanship of these pieces of art, a style once gracing the homes of French Royalty.

Featuring 6 arms, 3 rings drip in multi faceted crystals suspended below a crown style casting, the crystals cascade beautifully and bring a balance to this ornate style.

Crystals refract and reflect light, which means they take the light from its source and split it so you have wonderful diffused and ambient light. With the sheer volume of crystals on each of these chandeliers, this effect is amplified and stunningly beautiful.

If you look closely, you will note delightful beaded flowers stem flexibly, styled on beaded wire, outwards from both bronze crowns, delicately dropping a single crystal from each.

You can lose yourself in marvelling at the detail, so make sure to drop these into the eye-line!

Style Notes: Be practical but bold - these are to be looked at! Bring it closer to eye level ideally 75-90 cm above surface such as a desk or table. 

We believe practically every interior style and style ace can be elevated by a chandelier. Don’t be fooled into thinking only high ceiling and large spaces can accommodate these, small and cosy spaces are given a focal point and the gift of diffused light - enhancing enhancing a space and creating a mood. Even if switched off natural light will be bounced around, hence their beauty even in natural light.

Condition:

These are rewired to NZ standards. Beautiful condition fair to their age with the option to add more crystals if you wish to. They are in our view perfectly adorned with balance.
