We believe this to be a 19th century cast door relief, sourced in Paris and now in New Zealand ready for your project.
Uses vary, this is decorative and perfect on a the external door or anywhere in your home or on furniture. It can be nailed or screwed so easy to move to a new spot as your heart desires.
The robust thickness and weight speaks to its quality and will hold its own. Many decorative elements are in a lighter ormulu which this is not, while we love ormolu this brass piece is a real architectural element with weight, scale and diversity of use.
