Sourced from France, reimagined in New Zealand!
Supreme comfort, expert craftsmanship and a slice of French history are combined to achieve a unique and ‘WOW inducing’ furniture acquisition, completed and ready for their next passionate owner.
The set of 6 newly refurbished and reupholstered antique dining chairs from France are a beautiful example of Louis XVI style. We have chosen a ticking stripe detail Zepel fabric ‘Chambray’ for a well wearing and easy to incorporate style for the modern or classic interior
This Louis XVI style marks a time when design moved from highly ornate and feminine, towards Greek inspired details shown by more restrained lines with geometric elements. The fluted legs, reminiscent of Greek columns, and the shield shaped back indicate this design transition.
The carved detail is contrasted with the fabric choice while making a design statement that is classic and enduring. Please request a swatch if required.
They are ready to be delivered nationwide, and sold only as a set.
