An original French exhibition poster produced for the Petit Palais, Paris, celebrating the cultural twinning of Paris and Rome.
Held from 1 March to 29 April 1968, Rome à Paris (Rome in Paris) explored the artistic relationship between two of Europe’s great cultural capitals. The striking poster features a dramatic Baroque marble sculpture set against a rich crimson background, framed within a restrained architectural layout that is unmistakably French in its graphic design.
Printed in France by Les Presses Artistiques, Paris, this authentic exhibition poster is both a decorative artwork and a genuine piece of European museum history.
Its bold colour palette and sculptural imagery make it particularly suited to classical, contemporary and minimalist interiors alike.

Why We Love It
This is one of those rare exhibition posters that feels equally at home in a modern apartment as it does in a traditional library.
The typography, dramatic use of negative space and rich oxblood background allow the white marble sculpture to become almost sculptural itself once framed.
It is graphic, elegant and unmistakably European.
