Pair of Early 20th Century Crystal Basket Wall Lights

These twinkled at us from afar, catching our eyes with the beautiful baskets of lights.

They are beautifully made — a lighter, more refined interpretation of the classic European crystal chandelier, reimagined as wall lights.

Delicate strands of faceted glass beads cascade into a softly shaped basket, finished with elongated crystal drops that catch the light in a quiet, understated way. They feel elegant without being overworked — exactly the kind of piece that layers easily into both traditional and contemporary spaces.

They are the sort of lighting that transforms a room softly rather than dominating it.

The Details

These date to the early 20th century, when traditional chandelier forms were being adapted for more modern interiors. You still have the romance of the earlier designs, but in a lighter, more usable scale.

Each light is hand assembled — you can see it in the wiring of the beads and the slight variation in the glass. The crystals are not overly sharp or machine-perfect, which gives them a much softer, warmer sparkle than modern reproductions.

The form is elegant and restrained in scale  they are stunning front on and from the side due to the projection.

Condition

Very good antique condition.

There is light age to the metal frame and wiring, consistent with age.

The glass beads show the softness and variation you expect from early 20th century pieces.

They present beautifully and have a refined, authentic patina.
